WEATHER UPDATE Today we are finally getting some nice rainfall. There has been a steady light rain falling for most of the day. There have also been a few downpours that were of short duration. Overall the current weather should go a long way towards improving our freestone river conditions. At this time the stream gauges are just starting to show an increase in flow but I expect this upward flow to continue throughout the remainder of the afternoon and evening. Since I am do

WEEKEND OUTLOOK! Anglers planning to fish this weekend will find all of our Upper Delaware Rivers to be on the low side. Currently the freestone rivers are really low. The East and West branches have minimal releases at this time. There is light rainfall in the forecast for the next 5 days. The current forecast is not predicting any substantial rainfall but it is predicting the type of weather conditions that usually provide exceptional fly fishing. If we have this prolonged

AUTUMN IS IN THE AIR The weather in the Upper Delaware has really cooled down over the last few days. We have had frost advisories the last 2 nights and I am seeing a lot of jackets and long pants around town. For the Upper Delaware river and Fly Fishermen this cooler weather is great news. Over the last few days there has been a definite upswing in insect activity. The last 2 days there have been insects on the water and in the air throughout the day. The Trout are not total

Tennessee Tailwaters - Road Trip Report
Last week we traveled to East Tennessee for some Tailwater fishing on the South Holston and Watagua Rivers. This great fishery boasts 10,000 fish per mile trout populations and some of the more technical fly fishing you can find. We had 4 full days of fishing size #20 to 24 flies to Trout that range from yearlings to 25+". The Brown above measured 22" and took a #20 crippled midge pattern. For us Upper Delaware Anglers the biggest obstacle is getting used to the 6X tippet a

COLD NIGHTS< COLD WATER< GREAT FISHING! The conditions for trout fishing in the Upper Delaware region are improving rapidly. Over the last few days there is autumn in the air. I am already seeing some color in the trees along the rivers and our nights have been brisk. These weather conditions combined with the 1000+ cfs. release from Cannonsville Reservoir have our Trout on the feed. Over the past weekend all of our guests have had excellent trips. Both Trout and Bass fishing

WEEKEND OUTLOOK Above is a nice Brown Trout taken on an ICE PUPA from under some nasty white water. This weekend anglers will have lots of options for fishing in the Upper Delaware Region. The fishing conditions have improved considerably in all of our rivers, lakes and reservoirs. This change has mostly been brought about by the cooler weather and especially the very cool nights. The West Branch and the Main Stem Delaware are in the best shape of all our rivers. This is due

THE TROUT FISHING IS GETTING HOT! A Wild Rainbow from the Main Delaware taken yesterday Over the last few days the Trout fishing has really turned around. Over the Holiday Weekend our guests got in on some incredible action. On several of our trips we really ran the numbers up. The best action is on nymphs.
