I just recently upgraded the GPS / Fish Finder unit on my skiff. My last unit was a Garmin EchoMap and I chose to stay with this line due to the reliability of the last unit. I also have the Garmin system down pretty good so the learning curve has been limited only to the new technology. My new unit is the EchoMap plus 94sv. This is a touch screen unit with more features than I will ever use. I just wanted to post this article that has raised some serious questions about future management of Trout in NY State. Now is the time to speak up to the DEC. The new plan if implemented is sure to have a negative effect on the Wild Trout waters in the Upper Delaware Region. I have also pasted a copy of a letter written by Ed VanPut in opposition to the new proposals. Baxter House Outfitters concurs with Mr. Van Put's conclusion regarding the proposals. Tampa Bay Fly Fishing Report

Great Action on the Fly! Over the last 2 weeks I have been on the water every day. The fishing is excellent and there are plenty of options for fly anglers. Michele and I have been fishing a lot and we had guides Matt and Luc with us for a week. Most every day we are encountering multiple species and really running the numbers up. Water temperatures are still real warm for the date. Most everywhere I have been fishing the water has been in the low 80's. Bait fish are everywhere and the ecosystem is humming along.
