Over the last two decades the Baxter House has put together a guide staff that is second to none in the Upper Delaware River System. Our professional guides are exceptional teachers as well as top rate Fly Fishermen. Our guides will listen to what your expectations are and custom plan a trip based on your abilities and desires. This will ensure that your day on the river will be fun, informative and above all safe.
Our Guided Fly Fishing Trips consist of either Walk Wading or Drift Boat fishing throughout the Upper Delaware Region. Our guides have intimate knowledge of the waters of the Beaverkill River, Willowemoc Creek, The East and West Branches of the Delaware and the Main Stem Delaware.

Our saltwater trips are from flats style boats or walk wading the flats. Our saltwater guides all operate top quality skiffs that are equipped with all of the essential equipment to make your day on the water comfortable and safe.
We offer Fly Fishing Trips for Trout and both Fly Fishing and Spin Tackle Trips for Smallmouth Bass in the Upper Delaware. In Florida we target Snook, Redfish, Sea Trout, and Tarpon

Captain Ken Tutalo
Ken, the owner of the Baxter House River Outfitters has been fishing the waters of the Upper Delaware for over 45 years. For over two decades Ken has been a full time fly fishing guide who has introduced countless anglers to Fly Fishing and the waters of the Upper Delaware.
Ken oversees all guiding operations at Baxter House. He also publishes the daily fishing report on the Baxter House Website, which is read by thousands weekly from April through November
During the winter months Ken is a regular at the Winter Fly Fishing and Fly Tying Shows where he demonstrates fly tying techniques and gives seminars on topics pertaining to the Upper Delaware River System and Fly Fishing.

Ken spends the winter months in Florida where he guides fly fishing and light spin tackle charters on the flats and back country of the Tampa Bay estuary.
​
Ken has had articles published in many fly fishing publications and writes the weekly fly fishing column for the River Reporter. Ken has also made several appearances on Television, working with Discovery Channel, CBS News, New York Department of Tourism, On the Water TV and Discoveramerica.com.

Richard K. McCombie
Born in Edinburgh Scotland, Richard was introduced to fishing on his mothers family farm in Denmark. During his early days his main targets were sea run trout, fluke, mackerel and codfish. In his early 20's Richard visited the USA and chose to stay.
Richard's passion for pursuing fish on the fly has taken him to Montana, Colorado, the Florida Keys, Cape Cod, Alaska, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.
In 2004 Richard decided to share his passion and became a NYS licensed guide. Since then Richard has been a dedicated student of the Delaware River system and he now lives half of the Year on the Banks of the East Delaware.
Rich has been with us for several years now. He is licensed in NY, PA and with the National Park Service. He is excellent on all Upper Delaware waters!

Chris Calabrese
Chris Calabrese has been fishing for trout since he was a teenager. His family owned a house in the western poconos where he fished the Broadhead, mud run, and the tailgaters of the Lehigh River and Pohocopo Creek.
It was only logical that Chris found his way to the waters of the Upper Delaware. Chris quickly fell in love with the river system and has spent countless hours exploring it's rivers.
In 2013 Chris set his roots in the mountains when he purchased a cabin on the banks of the Beaverkill River. Now the Upper Delaware waters are his back yard.
Since 2013 Chris has spent every free moment floating and wading the Upper Delaware waters. and honing his skill on the toughest trout anywhere.
Chris is a member and supporter of the Friends of the Upper Delaware River, a member of the Catskill Fly Fishing Museum, The Catskill Fly Tyers Chris is also a board member of the Beamoc Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Jim Yeager
Jim is starting his 3rd. year with Baxter House. Jim simply loves the waters of the Upper Delaware and he guides or fishes every day.

Jim spends a lot of time on our tailwaters. He loves both the East and West Delaware and knows how to fool the selective trout that thrive in these waters. Jim handles both Drift Boat trips and Walk wades for us and loves to plan combination trips for our guests.
​
Jim is also a very patient instructor and he is one of the guides we like to pair up with those who are new to fly fishing. Over the last few years he has introduced many new anglers to Fly Fishing for wild trout.

Collin Tallman
Collin is starting his second year taking Baxter House guests on the water. He is the youngest member of our staff but he is quite accomplished for his age.
Collin is local to Roscoe, NY so the waters of the Upper Delaware are where he grew up fishing. Collin has spent a lot of time on our local waters and over the last few years he has really honed his skills. He is a top notch angler with the dry fly and spends a lot of time working over the fussy fish on the East Delaware.

Collin is currently licensed in NY and Pa and guided both Walk Wades and Drift Boat trips from his ClackaCraft Drift Boat.
​
Collins other love is hunting and he spends large amounts of time in the woods during small and big game seasons and is licensed to take hunters afield.
​
One of his specialties is calling turkeys and his clients have a very high success rate at taking birds. Hunts can be arranged through us for spring turkey.
​

Throughout the course of a busy season we regularly have the need for additional guides. The Baxter House has a long relationship with the best guides that work this region. Because of this we are able to handle large groups and corporate trips.
