Fishing Report for the Upper Delaware River and Catskill Region

Turbid Waters Produce

After the recent rainfall our guides took advantage of the turbid water conditions. It's been a while since we had floats out that spent the day working bait fish imitations.

The fishing has been pretty good but the hot bite will be short lived since most of the rivers are well on their way to becoming clear again.

Below are some shots from guide Matt's trip yesterday.

Matt had the same crew this morning and has already reported very good action.

With the heavier water flows the fish were far less technical during yesterday's dry fly hatches.

Below are today's flows. We can expect the fish to be a little more approachable while the water flows remain above the normal summer flows.

For a more detailed report on the fishing, hatches and general conditions please read my report from 7/22/19. This is a much more detailed report and all of the information contained is still relevant.

Now is the time to book a Summer float for Trout , Bass or Carp.

We are also taking advance bookings for the popular fall period. Our September through November trips are all about dry fly fishing. Fall is Olive Season!
