Summer is here!. New guided trips for summer are now available!

As we head into summer our guides have far more options available for our guest to choose from. Below are a few of the trips that are now available. Call us today for the details and to book your next adventure.

Tailwater Nymph Trips- These trips are full day float trips for one angler with Ken or Zach. These trips are all about technique. Anglers will have the opportunity to learn various nymphing techniques. Tight line, indicator, long line, dropper etc. These trips are on the Upper East or Upper West branches.

Evening Float trips - We started these floats back in 2000 and they remain super popular. Be on the water at the best time for dry fly action, 4:00 through dark.

Night Time Mouse and Streamer Trips - These full darkness trips target the rivers biggest trout at the time when they are most active. These trips may be on foot or in drift boat.

Trout - Bass Combos - Float the morning on the Delaware for smallmouth bass and then move for an evening float on the East or West Branch to target the dry fly action for trout.

Predator Hunts - Muskie, Pike and Smallmouth. These are custom trips that you will have the chance to plan with your guide. We have several options for chasing big predators, call for the details.

The Reoprt.

Right now the Upper Delaware Region has gone from a cold wet spring right to summer conditions. It has been several weeks now since we have had any substantial rainfall.

All of our rivers are low and crystal clear. Currently the best action for fly fishermen targeting trout is in our tailwaters. The upper East and Upper West branches have the icy cold water. This is the best place to fish at this time. The upper sections of the Beaverkill and Willowemoc are cool but the lower reaches are warming up by mid day. The Lower East Branch and a good portion of the Main Stem are above 70 degrees at this time. These rivers are best fished for Smallmouth Bass and Walleye at this time.

Right now our guides are very busy. We are on the water every day targeting both Trout and Smallmouth Bass.

Currently our trout trips are working out pretty good.. Yesterday we had 4 boats our and just about everybody was able to put around a half dozen trout in the net. The recent trout trips have been targeting the heavy sulfur hatches that have been coming off each afternoon. Right now anglers can find good action from around 1:00 pm through dark. On the tailwaters it is now possible to dry fly fish the upstream sections in early afternoon and then move downstream with the hatch. We have a full assortment of flies specifically designed for the long lasting sulfur and olive hatches of summer. If you are planning a trip stop in for some hot patterns.

I have also started to offer trips that focus on various nymphing techniques. These special trips are now available daily and will continue through the summer.

Our guides are also offering smallmouth Bass trips. These trips are full of action and anglers can choose either Fly or Spin tackle. With the warmer weather and their spawning over Smallies are feeding heavily. Our guides know the best sections and can keep you on the fish. Now is the beginning of the time period where the smallies will be looking up. From this poin on we will be chasing these fish with surface poppers, Gurglers and large dry flies. These trips are all on the Main Stem Delaware and the sections we target are well below where we normally fish for trout. These floats are in some of the most beautiful section of the Upper River!
