Upper Delaware Fly Fishing Report

There is not much new to report as far as fishing goes. There is rain forecast on and off through Saturday. This rain falling on the snow in the mountains has our rivers on the rise.

There is potential for our rivers to go to flood stage this week There is currently a flood watch in effect through Saturday. How much the conditions change is in Mother Natures hands.

As of right now the river flows are high but there are some places where bank fishing or drift boat fishing is possible. Anglers should take note that river conditions often change quickly in the Upper Delaware.

A word of caution about high water - The current flows are right at the threshold where they become unsafe for drift boaters who do not have a lot of time on the oars. Now is not the time for Recreational anglers with new drift boats to take their first float trip.

Today's flows

Beaverkill - 3940

East Branch,@ Harvard - 1800

East Branch @ Fishs Eddy - 4260

West Branch - 3450

Main Delaware @ Callicoon- 9770

At the current time all Baxter House Float Trips will continue as scheduled. Our guides love high water and know how to fish it. Our guides have been out daily and our guests are taking some nice Browns on a variety of Streamer patterns.

If conditions change substantially I will update this report and our facebook page during the day.

We have a few opening in the coming days if you would like to get out on the water to chase Trophy Trout with streamers Now is the time to learn exactly how our guides target early season Brown Trout- 607-290-4022
