Upper Delaware Fly Fishing Report

Some rainfall is finally falling over the Upper Delaware Region.

Today all of our local river are refreshed and on the rise. Anglers will find some turbidity in our freestone rivers for a day or two. This morning the Beaverkill and WIllowemoc are very off color.

The Autumn Blue Wing Olive Hatch has started. The daily emergence activity is still light but as the days get colder this hatch will kick into high gear. There are alos some larger insects late in the day. Isonychia, Cahills, Sulfurs and Caddisflies are drawing trout to the surface at times.

The photos are from my float trip yesterday. We had good nymph fishing and a few shots with the dry fly.

Our guides are very busy at this time. We will continue offering float trips for as long as the weather allows. In most years we will fish until mid to late November.
