Weekend Fly Fishing Report

Last night some rainfall moved through the region. The rain accelerated the snow melt in a big way. This morning all of our Upper Delaware River are high and turbid.

This morning the Beaverkill is at 2550 cfs. The Willow is in the 2000 cfs. range.

The East Branch is at 1380cfs. in the Upper Section. The lower East is at 4420cfs.

The West is at 3710 cfs. and the main stem is at 12,400 cfs. with icebergs as big as trucks floating down it.

At the current flows there is little quality fishing to be had especially if you are on foot.

I have a few openings for Drift Boat fishing starting on Monday. If the East Branch flow remains at the current level or below there should be some action with Large Streamer Flies.

Every year we take some very impressive Brown Trout during the snow melt period!
