Fishing / Weather Update

With just about a week before Opening Day the rivers are starting to open up. The Willowemoc is just about free of ice. There are a few jams in the slower pools but they should be gone by this weekend.

The Beaverkill is also starting to look good. There are large section of the river that are ice free. I expect most of the river to be opened up by this weekend.

You can now get in the water in most of the no-kill areas. The fishing is slow.

The Delaware is still pretty locked in ice over large amounts of the river. The riffles are getting moving but the deeper slow pools have a good amount of thick ice.

We are expecting some warmer weather and rainfall Thursday. If this occurs the tributaries should deliver a big push to the icebergs.
