Fly Fishing Report for the Upper Delaware and Catskill Rivers

This past week has been great for our clients and guests! Water temps and levels are at good levels for bugs.

We had a bit of a cool weekend air temp wise. We were fortunate to have a few cloudy days which made the fishing excellent.

There are a lot of bugs. Green Drakes, Brown Drakes, Isonychia, March Browns and Golden Stones are coming off consistently depending on where you are.

Wade fishing is great right now. Lower levels are creating easy wading just about everywhere.

Spinner falls/coffins depending on where your at have been hitting the water in waves.

Nymph fishing continues to be excellent with the clear water. We are using BH March Browns, Ice Pupas, Pheasant Tails, Trigger nymphs seem to be paying off the best.

The Beaver kill and willow are fishing very good. Blind casting March Brown parachutes with a small dropper nymph are working well. Keep the dropper short off the Dry fly.

Bug week is continuing and extending into week 2. Come Check it out!
