Fly Fishing Report for the Upper Delaware and Catskill Rivers

SATURDAY UPDATE!

Since my report yesterday the release from Cannonsville Reservoir into the West Branch has been increased. This morning anglers will find the West to be running high with turbidity due to a 953 cfs. increase.

The good news is that the increase combined with a chilly overnight has the Main Delaware dropping temperature rapidly. This morning Lordville is at 60 degrees and Callicoon is at 66 degrees and falling. This is great news for the river system especially since we are forecast for a few more 80 degree plus days with bright sun.

Anglers can expect the turbidity in the west to start clearing up in the lower reaches and becoming clear in the Upper Main.

AS always some large Trout should become more approachable in the turbid water and we should see an increase in aggression towards streamer flies.
