River Flow Table

Beaverkill - 3110 cfs.

Wilowemoc - 2250 cfs.

Upper East Branch -921 cfs

Lower East Branch - 4470 cfs.

West Branch - 872 cfs.

Main Stem - 6920 cfs.

Not much change from yesterday. The Freestone river continue to rise due to runoff in the rivers headwaters. The Beaverkill and Willowemoc are the rivers affected and both have some minor turbidity at this time.

The best fishing is in the Tailwaters. Both the East and West branches have nice fishing conditions. Both have the early stages of dry fly activity. There are insects on the water about all the time but no real numbers of any one species. The most abundant are midges which are heavy on the water at times. There are always a few stoneflies bouncing around and a few Mayflies.

I have seen a few short periods where a good number of Blue QUills and Quill Gordons accumulated on the surface but the action was not sustained.

Trout are rising sporadically throughout the river and some of the real slack pools have had a few regular risers.

This weeks weatehr forecast of warm temps. and bright sun should make every day a little better than the one before. We are probably about a week away from some heavier insect activity. In the next 2 weeks we should start to see some Hendricksons and some Apple Caddis on the water.
