Finally some warm weather!

Over the last 3 days we have had our first glimpse of warming air. This week has brought us our first air temperatures above freezing since last October.

Over the last 2 days a small amount of water has been opening up on both the Beaverkill and Willowemoc. This afternoon I saw a few eagles cruising up and down the river for the first time in a while.

At this time most all of the river system is still heavily frozen and there is no fishing to be had except through the ice.

Our long term forecast is calling for more warm days. Hopefully this will help get the ice off the rivers in time for opening day.
